As a community service, Addicted Quilter participates in the Quilts of Valor. Quilts of Valor provide quilts to a hospital in Germany, which gives each and every injured military person a quilt. These quilts are red, white, and blue. They can be pieced in any form.
There are size and color requirements. Click here to visit the Quilts of Valor homepage for additional information.
The blocks are donated by quilters. The quilters in our area work through the Tidewater Quilter’s Guild. A committee gets the blocks pieced together and put batting and backing with the top. Various long arm quilters in the guild volunteer to quilt these quilts. Addicted Quilter is on of the long armers that volunteer to quilt them. We are very proud to be a part of this effort. We have much to be thankful for because of the efforts of our brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, fathers, and mothers that protect our freedoms.
Thank you to our military!
